  1. 1"This is what you shall do to them to consecrate them for ministering to me in the priest's office: Take 1 young bull and 2 rams without blemish."
  2. 2Also prepare unleavened bread, unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers coated with oil — all made from fine wheat flour.
  3. 3Place them all in a single basket and bring the basket along with the bull and the 2 rams.
  4. 4Bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the Tabernacle and wash them with water.
  5. 5Then take the priestly garments and dress Aaron in the tunic, the robe of the ephod, the ephod itself, and the breastplate. Fasten the skillfully woven belt of the ephod around him.
  6. 6Place the turban on his head and attach the holy crown to the front of the turban.
  7. 7Then take the anointing oil, pour it over his head, and anoint him.
  8. 8Next, bring his sons forward and dress them in their tunics.
  9. 9Tie belts around Aaron and his sons and put headbands on them. The priesthood will belong to them as a permanent law. This is how you will consecrate Aaron and his sons.
  10. 10"Bring the bull to the front of the Tabernacle, and have Aaron and his sons place their hands on the bull's head.
  11. 11Then slaughter the bull in the LORD's presence at the entrance of the Tabernacle.
  12. 12Take some of the bull's blood and use your finger to put it on the horns of the altar. Pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.
  13. 13Remove all the fat covering the internal organs, the lobe of the liver, and both kidneys with the fat on them, and burn it all on the altar.
  14. 14But take the bull's meat, hide, and dung outside the camp and burn them there. This is a sin offering.
  15. 15"Then take 1 of the rams, and have Aaron and his sons place their hands on the ram's head.
  16. 16Slaughter the ram, collect its blood, and splash it on all sides of the altar.
  17. 17Cut the ram into pieces. Wash the internal organs and the legs, then arrange them with the other pieces and the head.
  18. 18Burn the entire ram on the altar. This is a burnt offering to the LORD — a pleasing aroma, an offering made by fire to the LORD.
  19. 19"Now take the second ram, and have Aaron and his sons place their hands on its head.
  20. 20Slaughter the ram and take some of its blood. Put it on the tip of Aaron's right ear, on the tip of each of his sons' right ears, on the thumb of their right hands, and on the big toe of their right feet. Then splash the rest of the blood on all sides of the altar.
  21. 21Take some of the blood from the altar and some of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it on Aaron and his garments, and on his sons and their garments. This will make Aaron and his garments holy, along with his sons and their garments.
  22. 22From this ram — the ram of consecration — take the fat, the fat tail, the fat covering the internal organs, the lobe of the liver, both kidneys with the fat on them, and the right thigh.
  23. 23From the basket of unleavened bread that is before the LORD, take 1 loaf of bread, 1 cake made with oil, and 1 wafer.
  24. 24Place all of these in the hands of Aaron and his sons, and have them wave the offerings before the LORD as a wave offering.
  25. 25Then take them back from their hands and burn them on the altar along with the burnt offering. It is a pleasing aroma before the LORD — an offering made by fire to the LORD.
  26. 26"Take the breast of the ram used for Aaron's consecration and wave it before the LORD as a wave offering. This portion will be yours.
  27. 27Set apart as holy the breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the raised offering — the parts that were waved and raised up from the ram of consecration belonging to Aaron and his sons.
  28. 28This will be the permanent share for Aaron and his sons from the people of Israel, as it is a heave offering. It shall be a heave offering from the Israelites, taken from their peace offerings, and given to the LORD.
  29. 29"Aaron's holy garments will be passed down to his sons after him. They will wear them when they are anointed and consecrated.
  30. 30Whichever son succeeds Aaron as priest must wear these garments for 7 days when he enters the Tabernacle to serve in the holy place.
  31. 31"Take the ram of consecration and boil its meat in a holy place.
  32. 32Aaron and his sons will eat the ram's meat and the bread from the basket at the entrance of the Tabernacle.
  33. 33They must eat these items that were used to make atonement during their consecration and setting apart. No outsider may eat any of it, because it is holy.
  34. 34If any of the consecration meat or bread is left over until morning, burn what remains. It must not be eaten, because it is holy.
  35. 35"Do everything I have commanded you for Aaron and his sons. The consecration ceremony must last 7 days.
  36. 36Each day, offer a bull as a sin offering for atonement. Purify the altar by making atonement for it, and anoint it to make it holy.
  37. 37For 7 days, make atonement for the altar and set it apart as holy. The altar will become most holy — anything that touches it will become holy.
  38. 38Here is what you must offer on the altar: two lambs in their first year, every day without fail.
  39. 39Offer 1 lamb in the morning and the other lamb in the evening.
  40. 40With the first lamb, offer a tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a quarter hin of pressed olive oil, along with a quarter hin of wine as a drink offering.
  41. 41Offer the second lamb in the evening with the same grain offering and drink offering as the morning sacrifice. It will be a pleasing aroma, an offering made by fire to the LORD.
  42. 42This burnt offering must be made continually throughout every generation at the entrance of the Tabernacle before the LORD. That is where I will meet with you and speak to you.
  43. 43"There I will meet with the children of Israel, and the tabernacle shall be sanctified by my glory."
  44. 44I will make the Tabernacle and the altar holy. I will also set apart Aaron and his sons to serve me as priests.
  45. 45I will live among the people of Israel and be their God.
  46. 46They will know that I am the LORD their God, who brought them out of Egypt so that I could live among them. I am the LORD their God."
