  1. 1Paul, an apostle—not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead.
  2. 2All the brothers and sisters with me, to the churches of Galatia:
  3. 3May grace and peace be yours from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ,
  4. 4who gave himself for our sins, that he might rescue us from this present evil age, according to the will of God and our Father.
  5. 5To God be glory forever and ever. Amen.
  6. 6I am amazed that you are so quickly turning away from him who called you by the grace of Christ to a different gospel.
  7. 7It is not a different gospel; but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.
  8. 8But even if we ourselves — or an angel from heaven — were to preach a different gospel than the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.
  9. 9As we said before, so I say now again: if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.
  10. 10Am I trying to win the approval of people, or of God? Am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I wouldn't be a servant of Christ.
  11. 11I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel I preached to you didn't come from any human source.
  12. 12I didn't receive it from any person, nor was I taught it, but it came through a revelation from Jesus Christ.
  13. 13You've heard about my past conduct in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it.
  14. 14I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my peers in my own nation, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my ancestors.
  15. 15But when it pleased God, who set me apart from my mother's womb and called me by his grace,
  16. 16to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles; immediately I did not confer with flesh and blood.
  17. 17I didn't go up to Jerusalem to meet with the apostles who came before me. Instead, I went to Arabia, and later returned to Damascus.
  18. 18Then, three years later, I went up to Jerusalem to visit Peter and stayed with him for fifteen days.
  19. 19I didn't see any of the other apostles — only James, the Lord's brother.
  20. 20I swear before God that everything I'm writing to you is the truth.
  21. 21After that, I traveled to the regions of Syria and Cilicia.
  22. 22And was unknown by face to the churches of Judea that were in Christ:
  23. 23But they had only heard, 'The man who persecuted us in the past is now preaching the faith he once destroyed.'
  24. 24And they glorified God because of me.
