  3. 3At the noise of the pounding hooves of his strong horses, at the rushing of his chariots, and at the rumbling of his wheels, fathers will not turn back to their children because their hands are too weak.
  4. 4Because of the day that is coming to destroy all the Philistines and to cut off every helper remaining in Tyre and Sidon. For the LORD will destroy the Philistines, the remnant of the country of Caphtor.
  5. 5Baldness has come upon Gaza; Ashkelon is cut off with the remnant of their valley. How long will you cut yourselves?
  6. 6O sword of the LORD, how long until you are quiet? Return to your scabbard, rest, and be still.
  7. 7But how can it be still, when the LORD has given it a charge against Ashkelon and against the sea shore? That is where he has appointed it.
