  4. 4He rebukes the sea and makes it dry, and dries up all the rivers. Bashan and Carmel languish, and the flowers of Lebanon languish.

  6. 6Who can stand before his indignation? Who can endure the fierceness of his anger? His fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.
  7. 7The LORD is good, a fortress in times of trouble; and he knows those who trust in him.
  8. 8But with a rushing flood he will completely destroy the place, and darkness will chase down his enemies.

  12. 12This is what the LORD says: Even though they are calm and numerous, they will still be cut down when he passes through. Though I have afflicted you, I will afflict you no more.
  13. 13For now I will snap his yoke off your neck and tear your chains apart.
  14. 14The LORD has given a command concerning you: No more of your name will be sown. I will cut off the carved image and the molten image from the house of your gods. I will prepare your grave, for you are vile.
  15. 15Look! There on the mountains — the feet of a messenger bringing good news, announcing peace! Judah, celebrate your feasts! Fulfill your vows! The wicked will never invade your land again. They have been completely destroyed.
