2 accounts of this passage

2 Samuel 5:1–5

1All the tribes of Israel came to David at Hebron and said, "Look, we are your own flesh and blood." 2Even when Saul was king over us, you were the one who led Israel out and brought them back. And the LORD said to you, 'You will shepherd my people Israel and be a leader over Israel.' 3So all the elders of Israel came to King David at Hebron, and he made a covenant with them there before the LORD. Then they anointed David king over all Israel. 4David was 30 years old when he became king, and he reigned for 40 years. 5He ruled over Judah from Hebron for 7 years and 6 months, and then he ruled over all Israel and Judah from Jerusalem for 33 years.
