16Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17When they saw him, they worshiped him — though some still had doubts. 18Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me." 19Go therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you. And know this: I am with you always, even to the end of the world. Amen.

About this event

What happened?

The eleven disciples went to the mountain in Galilee where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him, but some doubted. Jesus said all authority in heaven and on earth had been given to him. He told them to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all he had commanded. He promised to be with them always, to the end of the age.
