  1. 1When you divide the land among the tribes by lot, you must set apart a portion as a sacred offering to the LORD — a holy section of land 25,000 reeds long and 10,000 reeds wide. This entire area will be holy within all its boundaries.
  2. 2Within this area, a square section 500 by 500 will be reserved for the sanctuary, with an open space of 50 cubits surrounding it on every side.
  3. 3From this holy district, measure out a section 25,000 long and 10,000 wide. The sanctuary — the most holy place — will be located within it.
  4. 4This holy portion of the land belongs to the priests who serve in the sanctuary and come near to minister before the LORD. It will provide space for their homes and be a holy place for the sanctuary.
  5. 5The Levites, the servants of the house, will also have the 25,000 in length and the 10,000 in width for themselves as a possession for twenty rooms.
  6. 6Next to the sacred district, set aside a strip of land 5,000 wide and 25,000 long as property for the city. This will belong to the whole house of Israel.
  7. 7The prince will receive land on both sides of the sacred district and the city property. His territory will stretch westward from the sacred district to the western border and eastward to the eastern border, matching the length of one of the tribal portions from west to east.
  8. 8This land will be the prince's own property in Israel. My princes will never again oppress my people. Instead, they will let the rest of the land be distributed to the house of Israel according to their tribes.
  9. 9The Lord GOD says: "Enough, princes of Israel! Remove violence and plundering. Execute judgment and justice, and take away your exactions from my people," declares the Lord GOD.
  10. 10"You must use honest scales, an honest ephah, and an honest bath.
  11. 11The ephah and the bath must be the same standard size. Each one equals a 10th of a homer — the homer is the standard by which both are measured.
  12. 12A shekel equals 20 gerahs. Your mina will be worth 60 shekels — that is, 20 plus 25 plus 15 shekels.
  13. 13Here is the offering you must contribute: a 6th of an ephah from every homer of wheat, and a 6th of an ephah from every homer of barley.
  14. 14For oil, the required portion is a 10th of a bath from every cor (a cor equals a homer, which is 10 baths).
  15. 15And one lamb from every flock of two hundred from the fat pastures of Israel; for a meat offering, a burnt offering, and peace offerings, to make reconciliation for them, says the Lord GOD.
  16. 16"All the people of the land must contribute this offering to the prince in Israel.
  17. 17It will be the prince's responsibility to provide the burnt offerings, meat offerings, and drink offerings for the festivals, the new moons, the Sabbaths, and all the solemn occasions of the house of Israel. He will prepare the sin offering, the meat offering, the burnt offering, and the peace offerings to make reconciliation for the house of Israel.
  18. 18The Lord GOD says: 'On the 1st day of the 1st month, you must take a young bull without blemish and cleanse the sanctuary.'
  19. 19The priest will take some of the blood from the sin offering and apply it to the doorposts of the temple, the 4 corners of the altar's ledge, and the gateposts of the inner court.
  20. 20Do the same on the seventh day of the month for anyone who has made a mistake or lacks understanding. In this way, you will make atonement for the temple.
  21. 21On the 14th day of the 1st month, you will celebrate the Passover — a festival lasting 7 days during which only unleavened bread may be eaten.
  22. 22On that day, the prince will provide a bull as a sin offering for himself and for all the people of the land.
  23. 23During the seven days of the feast he will prepare a burnt offering to the LORD: seven bulls and seven rams without blemish daily for the seven days, and one male goat daily as a sin offering.
  24. 24He will prepare a grain offering of one ephah for each bull and one ephah for each ram, along with one hin of oil for each ephah.
  25. 25On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, during the seven-day feast, he shall provide the same offerings: the sin offering, the burnt offering, the meat offering, and the oil.
