1. 1Then the LORD said to me, “Go again and love a woman who is loved by her friend, yet is an adulteress. Love her just as the LORD loves the children of Israel, who look to other gods and love containers of wine.”
2. 2So I bought her for myself for fifteen pieces of silver and a homer and a half of barley.
3. 3Then I told her, 'You will stay with me for many days. You must not act like a harlot, and you must not be with another man. So will I also be for you.'
4. 4For the children of Israel shall remain many days without a king, without a prince, without a sacrifice, without an image, without an ephod, and without teraphim.
5. 5Afterward, the children of Israel will return and seek the LORD their God and David their king. In the latter days, they will fear the LORD and his goodness.
