- 3I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, so that you may know that I, the LORD, who call you by your name, am the God of Israel.
- 4I did this for the sake of my servant Jacob, my chosen people Israel. I called you by name and gave you a title of honor, even though you didn't know me.
- 5I am the LORD, and there is no other. There is no God besides me. I equipped you for battle, even though you didn't know me,

- 9How terrible it will be for the one who argues with his Maker! Let a broken piece of pottery argue with the other broken pieces of the earth. Shall the clay say to the one who shapes it, "What are you making?" or your work, "He has no hands"?
- 10Woe to him who says to his father, 'What have you begotten?' or to the woman, 'What have you brought forth?'
- 11This is what the LORD, the Holy One of Israel and his Maker, says: "Ask me about things to come concerning my sons, and command me concerning the work of my hands."
- 12I made the earth and created humanity on it. My own hands stretched out the heavens, and I commanded every star in their armies.
- 13I have raised Cyrus up for a righteous purpose, and I will clear every path before him. He will rebuild my city and set my exiles free — and not because anyone paid him or bribed him," says the LORD of hosts.
- 14This is what the LORD says: "The wealth of Egypt, the goods of Ethiopia, and the tall Sabeans will all come over to you and become yours. They will follow behind you, coming in chains. They will bow down before you and plead with you, saying, 'Surely God is among you, and there is no other. There is no other God.'"
- 15"Truly, you are a God who hides himself, O God of Israel, the Savior."
- 16All the idol-makers will be put to shame and humiliated. Together they will walk away in disgrace.
- 17But Israel will be saved by the LORD with an everlasting salvation. You will never again be put to shame or humiliated — not for all eternity.
- 18For this is what the LORD says — the one who created the heavens, the God who shaped the earth and made it, who established it firmly. He didn't create it to be empty; he formed it to be lived in. "I am the LORD, and there is no other.
- 19I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth. I did not say to the descendants of Jacob, "Seek me in vain." I, the LORD, speak righteousness; I declare things that are right.
- 20Gather together and come! Draw near, all you survivors from the nations. People who carry around wooden idols and pray to gods that can't save them — they know nothing.
- 21Speak up and make your case. Go ahead, put your heads together. Who announced this long ago? Who predicted it from the beginning? Wasn't it me, the LORD? There is no other God besides me — a just God and a Savior. There is no one besides me.
- 22Turn to me and be saved, all you people across the earth, because I am God, and there is no other.
- 23I have sworn by myself — this word has gone out from my mouth in righteousness and it will not be taken back: every knee will bow before me, and every tongue will swear allegiance to me.
- 24People will say of me, 'Only in the LORD can righteousness and strength be found.' Everyone who raged against him will come to him in shame.
- 25In the LORD, all the descendants of Israel will be justified and will glory.
