  1. 1Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven, clothed with a cloud. A rainbow was upon his head, his face was like the sun, and his feet were like pillars of fire.
  2. 2He held a small open scroll in his hand. He placed his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the earth.
  3. 3He shouted with a loud voice, like a lion roaring. When he shouted, seven thunders uttered their voices.
  4. 4After the 7 thunders spoke, I was about to write down what they said. But a voice from heaven told me, "Seal up what the 7 thunders said. Don't write it down."
  5. 5Then the angel I had seen standing on the sea and on the land lifted up his hand to heaven.
  6. 6He swore by the One who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and everything in it, the earth and everything in it, and the sea and everything in it, that there should be time no longer.
  7. 7But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God will be finished, as he declared to his servants the prophets.
  8. 8Then the voice I had heard from heaven spoke to me again: "Go and take the open scroll from the hand of the angel who stands on the sea and on the land."
  9. 9So I went to the angel and said to him, 'Give me the small scroll.' He said, 'Take it and eat it. It will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey.'
  10. 10I took the small scroll from the angel's hand and ate it. It was sweet as honey in my mouth, but after I ate it, my stomach turned bitter.
  11. 11Then he told me, "You must prophesy again before many peoples, nations, languages, and kings."
