  3. 3And another wonder appeared in heaven: a great red dragon with seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns on its heads.

  5. 5She gave birth to a son, a male child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. Her child was caught up to God and to his throne.
  6. 6The woman fled into the wilderness, to a place God had prepared for her, where she would be cared for during 1,260 days.

  8. 8But they did not prevail, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven.

  10. 10Then I heard a loud voice in heaven declare, "Now salvation, strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ have come! The accuser of our brothers and sisters has been cast down, the one who accused them before our God day and night."

  14. 14But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle so she could fly into the wilderness to her place, where she would be nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, away from the face of the serpent.
  15. 15The serpent spewed water from its mouth like a river after the woman, trying to sweep her away in the flood.
  16. 16But the earth came to the woman's rescue — it opened up and swallowed the river that the dragon had poured from its mouth.
  17. 17The dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her children — those who obey God's commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus Christ.
