Mark 11:12–14

¹²The next day, as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry. ¹³He noticed a fig tree in the distance that was full of leaves, so he went over to see if it had any fruit. But when he reached it, he found nothing but leaves — it wasn't the season for figs. ¹⁴Jesus said to the tree, "May no one ever eat fruit from you again." His disciples heard him say it.

What happened

On the way into Jerusalem, Jesus was hungry and found a fig tree with leaves but no fruit. He said no one would eat fruit from it again. The next morning the disciples saw the tree withered from the roots. Jesus told them to have faith in God.
