Mary and Martha

³⁸As Jesus and his disciples continued their journey, he came to a village where a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. ³⁹Martha had a sister named Mary, who sat at Jesus' feet and listened to what he was teaching. ⁴⁰But Martha was overwhelmed with all the preparations. She came to Jesus and said, "Lord, doesn't it bother you that my sister has left me to do all the work by myself? Tell her to come help me!" ⁴¹Jesus answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things. ⁴²But one thing is needful: and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.
