16As Jesus walked along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew throwing a net into the water — they were fishermen. 17Jesus called out to them, "Come, follow me, and I'll make you fishers of men." 18They dropped their nets right then and followed him.

What happened?

As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” At once they left their nets and followed him.
