- 1Bezaleel built the ark out of acacia wood. It was 2 and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half tall.
- 2He covered it inside and out with pure gold and added a gold molding all the way around it.
- 3He cast four gold rings to be placed at the four corners of it, with two rings on one side and two rings on the other.
- 4He made carrying poles from acacia wood and covered them with gold.
- 5He slid the poles through the rings on each side of the ark so it could be carried.
- 6He made the mercy seat from pure gold — 2 and a half cubits long and a cubit and a half wide.
- 7He crafted 2 cherubim out of hammered gold, one at each end of the mercy seat.
- 8One cherub stood at one end and the other at the opposite end. The cherubim were formed as a single piece with the mercy seat itself.
- 9The cherubim spread their wings upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings. They faced each other, with their faces turned toward the mercy seat.
- 10He built the table out of acacia wood — 2 cubits long, a cubit wide, and a cubit and a half tall.
- 11He covered it with pure gold and added a gold molding all the way around it.
- 12He also made a rim around it about a hand's width wide, with a gold molding along the edge of the rim.
- 13He cast 4 gold rings and fastened them at the 4 corners where the legs were.
- 14The rings were positioned near the rim to hold the carrying poles for the table.
- 15He made the carrying poles from acacia wood and covered them with gold.
- 16He also crafted all the items that went on the table — the plates, ladles, bowls, and pitchers for pouring — all from pure gold.
- 17He made the candlestick from pure gold, crafted by hammering. Its shaft, branch, bowls, knops, and flowers were all of the same piece.
- 186 branches extended from its sides — 3 from one side and 3 from the other.
- 19Each branch had 3 cups shaped like almond blossoms, each with a bud and a flower. This pattern was the same across all 6 branches.
- 20The central shaft of the lampstand had 4 cups shaped like almond blossoms, complete with buds and flowers.
- 21Where each pair of branches met the shaft, there was a bud beneath them — one bud under the first pair, one under the second, and one under the third, for all 6 branches.
- 22The buds and branches were all part of the same piece. The entire lampstand was hammered from a single piece of pure gold.
- 23He made its 7 lamps, along with its wick trimmers and trays, all from pure gold.
- 24He used one talent of pure gold to make the lampstand and all its accessories.
- 25He built the incense altar from acacia wood. It was square — a cubit long and a cubit wide — and stood 2 cubits tall. Its horns were formed as one piece with it.
- 26He covered the top, all the sides, and the horns with pure gold, and added a gold molding all the way around it.
- 27He attached 2 gold rings beneath the molding on opposite sides to hold the carrying poles.
- 28He made the carrying poles from acacia wood and covered them with gold.
- 29He also prepared the holy anointing oil and the pure, fragrant incense, blended with the skill of a perfumer.
