  1. 1He made the altar of burnt offering from acacia wood. It was five cubits long, five cubits wide, and three cubits high, forming a square.
  2. 2He crafted a horn at each of its 4 corners, forming them as one piece with the altar itself, and covered the whole thing in bronze.
  3. 3He made all the tools that went with the altar — the pots, shovels, basins, meat forks, and firepans. Every one of them was made of bronze.
  4. 4He also made a bronze grating with a mesh design and attached it below the altar's ledge, reaching halfway up the altar.
  5. 5He cast 4 bronze rings and attached them to the 4 corners of the grating to hold the carrying poles.
  6. 6He made the carrying poles from acacia wood and covered them with bronze.
  7. 7He slid the poles through the rings on the sides of the altar so it could be carried. The altar itself was hollow inside, built from planks.
  8. 8He made the bronze basin and its stand from the mirrors of the women who assembled at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting.
  9. 9Then he made the court. On the south side, the hangings of the court were made of finely woven linen, measuring 100 cubits long.
  10. 10These curtains hung from 20 pillars set in 20 bronze bases, with silver hooks and silver bands on the pillars.
  11. 11The north side was identical — 100 cubits of curtains hung from 20 pillars set in 20 bronze bases, with silver hooks and silver bands.
  12. 12The west side had curtains stretching 50 cubits, hung from 10 pillars set in 10 bases, with silver hooks and silver bands.
  13. 13The east side — the front of the courtyard — also measured 50 cubits across.
  14. 14On one side of the entrance, the curtains extended 15 cubits, supported by 3 pillars set in 3 bases.
  15. 15The other side of the entrance was the same — 15 cubits of curtains supported by 3 pillars set in 3 bases.
  16. 16Every curtain surrounding the courtyard was made of finely woven linen.
  17. 17The bases for the pillars were bronze. The hooks and bands on the pillars were silver, and the tops of the pillars were overlaid with silver. Every pillar in the courtyard had silver bands.
  18. 18The screen for the gate of the courtyard was embroidered with blue, purple, and scarlet, and made of fine twined linen. It was 20 cubits long and 5 cubits high, matching the height of the courtyard curtains.
  19. 19This screen hung from 4 pillars set in 4 bronze bases. The hooks were silver, and the tops of the pillars were overlaid with silver, with silver bands around them.
  20. 20All the tent pegs for the tabernacle and the surrounding courtyard were made of bronze.
  21. 21Here is the inventory of materials used for the tabernacle — the Tabernacle of the Testimony — recorded at Moses' command by the Levites under the direction of Ithamar, son of Aaron the priest.
  22. 22Bezalel son of Uri, grandson of Hur, from the tribe of Judah, carried out everything the LORD had commanded Moses.
  23. 23Working alongside him was Aholiab son of Ahisamach, from the tribe of Dan, who was a skilled engraver, designer, and embroiderer in blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and fine linen.
  24. 24The total gold used throughout the construction of the sanctuary — all of it donated as an offering — came to 29 talents and 730 shekels, measured by the sanctuary standard.
  25. 25The silver collected from the census of the community totaled 100 talents and 1,775 shekels, measured by the sanctuary standard.
  26. 26This came from a tax of one beka — that is, half a shekel by the sanctuary standard — collected from every man 20 years old and older who was counted in the census. The total number of men was 603,550.
  27. 27The 100 talents of silver were used to cast the bases for the sanctuary frames and the bases for the posts supporting the veil — 100 bases from 100 talents, one talent per base.
  28. 28With the remaining 1,775 shekels, he made the hooks for the pillars, overlaid their tops with silver, and fashioned their silver bands.
  29. 29The bronze donated as an offering totaled 70 talents and 2,400 shekels.
  30. 30With it he made the bases for the entrance of the Tent of Meeting, the bronze altar, its bronze grating, and all the altar's tools.
  31. 31He also made the bases for the courtyard pillars, the bases for the courtyard entrance, and all the tent pegs for both the tabernacle and the surrounding courtyard.
