  1. 1The LORD says, "Maintain justice and do what is right, because my salvation is coming soon and my righteousness is about to be revealed."
  2. 2Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who holds firmly to it; who keeps the Sabbath without defiling it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.
  3. 3No foreigner who has joined himself to the LORD should say, "The LORD has completely separated me from his people." No eunuch should say, "Look, I am a dry tree."
  4. 4For the LORD says this to the eunuchs who honor my Sabbaths, who choose what pleases me, and who hold fast to my covenant:
  5. 5I will give them a place in my house and within my walls, a name better than that of sons and daughters. I will give them an everlasting name that will never be cut off.
  6. 6And the sons of the stranger who join themselves to the LORD, to serve him and love the name of the LORD, to be his servants — everyone who keeps the Sabbath without defiling it and holds fast to my covenant —
  7. 7"I will bring them to my holy mountain and fill them with joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar, because my house will be called a house of prayer for all peoples."
  8. 8The Lord GOD, who gathers the outcasts of Israel, declares, "I will gather still others to him beyond those already gathered."
  9. 9Come, all you wild animals of the field! Come, all you beasts of the forest — come and devour!
  10. 10His watchmen are blind, every one of them. They know nothing. They are like mute dogs that can't even bark—lying around, stretched out, loving their sleep.
  11. 11Yes, they are greedy dogs that can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand. They all look to their own way, each one for his gain, from his own quarter.
  12. 12"Come," they say, "let me get some wine! Let's drink ourselves full of strong drink! Tomorrow will be just like today — or even better!"
