  1. 1On the 8th day, Moses called Aaron, his sons, and the elders of Israel together.
  2. 2He told Aaron, "Take a young calf for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering — both without any defect — and present them before the LORD."
  3. 3Then tell the children of Israel: 'Take a kid of the goats for a sin offering, and a calf and a lamb, both of the first year and without blemish, for a burnt offering.'
  4. 4Also bring a bull and a ram for peace offerings to sacrifice before the LORD, along with a grain offering mixed with oil. Do this because today the LORD will appear to you.'"
  5. 5The people brought everything Moses had commanded to the front of the Tabernacle. The entire congregation gathered and stood before the LORD.

  7. 7Then Moses told Aaron, "Go to the altar and present your sin offering and your burnt offering to make atonement for yourself and for the people. Then present the people's offering and make atonement for them, just as the LORD commanded."
  8. 8So Aaron went to the altar and slaughtered the calf as a sin offering for himself.

  14. 14He washed the internal organs and the legs, then burned them on top of the burnt offering on the altar.
  15. 15Then he brought forward the people's offering. He took the goat for the people's sin offering, slaughtered it, and offered it for sin the same way he had done with the first one.
  16. 16He presented the burnt offering and sacrificed it according to the proper procedure.
  17. 17He presented the grain offering, took a handful of it, and burned it on the altar — in addition to the morning's burnt offering.
  18. 18He also slaughtered the bull and the ram as peace offerings for the people. Aaron's sons handed him the blood, and he sprinkled it all around the altar.
  19. 19They also brought the fat portions from the bull and the ram — the fat tail, the fat covering the internal organs, the kidneys, and the covering of the liver.
  20. 20They placed the fat portions on top of the breast pieces, and Aaron burned the fat on the altar.
  21. 21Aaron waved the breasts and the right shoulder before the LORD as a wave offering, as Moses commanded.
