Adam Names the Animals

In the Garden · The garden of Eden

Genesis 2:18–20

18Then the LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make a helper suitable for him." 19So the LORD God formed from the ground all the wild animals and birds, and brought them to the man to see what he would name them. Whatever he called each creature, that became its name. 20The man gave names to all the livestock, birds, and wild animals. But none of them was the right companion for him.
