The Man with a Withered Hand

¹Jesus went into the synagogue again, and there was a man with a withered hand. ²And they watched him closely to see if he would heal on the Sabbath, so they could accuse him. ³And he said to the man with the withered hand, "Stand forth." ⁴And he said to them, "Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath, or to do evil? To save life, or to kill?" But they remained silent. ⁵Jesus looked around at them with anger, deeply grieved by the hardness of their hearts. Then he said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." The man stretched it out, and it was restored whole like the other. ⁶The Pharisees left immediately and began plotting with the Herodians about how to destroy Jesus.
