  1. 1Make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twined linen, along with blue, purple, and scarlet materials, and include cherubim designs skillfully crafted into them.
  2. 2Each curtain must be 28 cubits long and 4 cubits wide — all 10 curtains the same size.
  3. 3Join 5 of the curtains together into one set, and join the other 5 into a second set.
  4. 4Attach loops of blue fabric along the outer edge of the last curtain in the first set, and do the same along the outer edge of the last curtain in the second set.
  5. 5"You shall make 50 loops in the one curtain, and you shall make 50 loops in the edge of the curtain that is in the coupling of the second, so that the loops may take hold of one another."
  6. 6Then make 50 gold clasps and use them to fasten the two sets of curtains together, so the tabernacle forms one unified structure.
  7. 7"Next, make a covering for the tabernacle out of goat hair curtains — 11 curtains in all.
  8. 8Each curtain must be 30 cubits long and 4 cubits wide — all 11 curtains the same size.
  9. 9Join five of these curtains into one set and six into another set. Fold the sixth curtain double at the forefront of the tabernacle.
  10. 10Attach 50 loops along the outer edge of the last curtain in the first set, and 50 loops along the outer edge of the last curtain in the second set.
  11. 11Make 50 bronze clasps, insert them into the loops, and fasten the tent covering together so it becomes one piece.
  12. 12The extra half-curtain that remains from this covering should hang down over the back of the tabernacle.
  13. 13The extra cubit of length on each side of the goat hair curtains should drape over both sides of the tabernacle to cover it.
  14. 14And you shall make a covering for the tent of rams' skins dyed red, and a covering above of badgers' skins.
  15. 15"Build the framework for the tabernacle using upright boards of acacia wood.
  16. 16Each board must be 10 cubits tall and 1 and a half cubits wide.
  17. 17Each board must have 2 tenons that fit together side by side. Make every board for the tabernacle this way.
  18. 18For the south side of the tabernacle, make 20 boards.
  19. 19Place 40 silver bases under the 20 boards — 2 bases under each board, one for each tenon.
  20. 20For the north side of the tabernacle, make another 20 boards,
  21. 21along with their 40 silver bases — 2 bases under each board.
  22. 22For the west end of the tabernacle, make 6 boards.
  23. 23Also make 2 additional boards for the 2 back corners of the tabernacle.
  24. 24These corner boards must be joined together from bottom to top, connected at the top by a single ring. Both corner boards should be built this way.
  25. 25So the west end will have 8 boards total, set in 16 silver bases — 2 bases under each board.
  26. 26Make bars of acacia wood; five for the boards on one side of the tabernacle,
  27. 27"There shall be 5 bars for the boards of the other side of the tabernacle, and 5 bars for the boards of the side of the tabernacle, for the 2 sides westward."
  28. 28The center crossbar should run the entire length of the wall, from one end to the other, passing through the middle of the boards.
  29. 29Cover the boards with gold, make gold rings to hold the crossbars, and cover the crossbars with gold as well.
  30. 30Assemble the tabernacle exactly according to the design I showed you on the mountain.
  31. 31"Make a veil of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and finely woven linen, with images of cherubim skillfully worked into it.
  32. 32Hang it on 4 pillars of acacia wood overlaid with gold, fitted with gold hooks, and set in 4 silver bases.
  33. 33Hang the veil under the clasps, so you can bring the ark of the testimony inside it. The veil will separate the holy place from the most holy place.
  34. 34Place the mercy seat on the ark of the testimony in the most holy place.
  35. 35Set the table outside the veil on the north side of the tabernacle, and place the lampstand across from it on the south side.
  36. 36"For the entrance to the tent, make a screen of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and finely woven linen, decorated with embroidery.
  37. 37Make 5 pillars of acacia wood for this screen and overlay them with gold, with gold hooks. Cast 5 bronze bases for the pillars."
