1. 1Adam, Seth, Enosh,
2. 2Kenan, Mahalaleel, Jered,
3. 3Henoch, Methuselah, Lamech,
4. 4Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
5. 5Japheth's sons were Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.
6. 6Gomer's sons were Ashchenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.
7. 7Javan's sons were Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
8. 8Ham's sons were Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.
9. 9Cush's sons were Seba, Havilah, Sabta, Raamah, and Sabtecha. Raamah's sons were Sheba and Dedan.
10. 10Cush was the father of Nimrod, who became mighty on the earth.
11. 11Mizraim was the father of the Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim,
12. 12Pathrusim, Casluhim (from whom the Philistines descended), and Caphthorim.
13. 13Canaan's firstborn was Zidon. He was also the father of Heth,

16. 16the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites.
17. 17Shem's sons were Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad, Lud, Aram, Uz, Hul, Gether, and Meshech.
18. 18Arphaxad was the father of Shelah, and Shelah was the father of Eber.
19. 19Eber had two sons. One was named Peleg, because during his lifetime the earth was divided. His brother was named Joktan.
20. 20Joktan was the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,
21. 21Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,
22. 22Ebal, Abimael, Sheba,
23. 23Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All of these were Joktan's sons.
24. 24Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,
25. 25Eber, Peleg, Reu,
26. 26Serug, Nahor, Terah,
27. 27Abram — who is Abraham.
28. 28Abraham's sons were Isaac and Ishmael.
29. 29Here are their descendants: Ishmael's firstborn was Nebaioth, followed by Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,

33. 33The sons of Midian were Ephah, Epher, Henoch, Abida, and Eldaah. All these were the sons of Keturah.
34. 34Abraham was the father of Isaac. Isaac's sons were Esau and Israel.
35. 35Esau's sons were Eliphaz, Reuel, Jeush, Jaalam, and Korah.
36. 36Eliphaz's sons were Teman, Omar, Zephi, Gatam, Kenaz, Timna, and Amalek.
37. 37Reuel's sons were Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.
38. 38Seir's sons were Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah, Dishon, Ezer, and Dishan.
39. 39Lotan's sons were Hori and Homam. Lotan's sister was Timna.
40. 40Shobal's sons were Alian, Manahath, Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. Zibeon's sons were Aiah and Anah.
41. 41Anah's son was Dishon. Dishon's sons were Amram, Eshban, Ithran, and Cheran.

43. 43These are the kings who ruled in the land of Edom before any king ruled over the children of Israel: Bela son of Beor, and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
44. 44When Bela died, Jobab son of Zerah from Bozrah became king after him.
45. 45When Jobab died, Husham from the land of the Temanites became king after him.
46. 46When Husham died, Hadad son of Bedad, who struck down Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his place. The name of his city was Avith.
47. 47When Hadad died, Samlah from Masrekah became king after him.
48. 48When Samlah died, Shaul from Rehoboth by the river became king after him.
49. 49When Shaul died, Baalhanan son of Achbor became king after him.
50. 50When Baalhanan died, Hadad reigned in his place. The name of his city was Pai, and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.
51. 51Hadad also died. The dukes of Edom were: duke Timnah, duke Aliah, duke Jetheth,
52. 52Duke Aholibamah, Duke Elah, Duke Pinon,
53. 53Duke Kenaz, Duke Teman, Duke Mibzar,
54. 54Duke Magdiel, and Duke Iram. These were the dukes of Edom.
